TECHNIQUE TUESDAY! 🛠

Tight hamstrings? Windmills are a great way to open (lengthen) hamstrings and mobilize your scapula (shoulder blades) while engaging your core. Add thoracic rotation while stabilizing your lower back and hips to mobilize your T-spine. Keep your back straight as an arrow and your hips hinged back – behind your knees. You should feel a good stretch in your hammies the entire time.

Notice in the video that I start with my hands on the yoga black, but after a few reps, I’m touching the floor. Work within YOUR pain free range and meet your body where it is. Breathe deeply throughout the movement to encourage lengthening and decrease tension.
