STRETCHING SUNDAY! 🧘🏽‍♀️

For any of you who sit at a desk, in a car, or experience occasional low back pain, your Hamstrings and Hips could likely use some TLC.

These movements will help lengthen all 3 hamstring heads (YES, there are 3!) - semitendinosus, semimembranosus, and biceps femoris (long & short head), as well as the inner and outer hip muscles.

Fitness Tip: Active-stretch movements are best done prior to resistance/cardio exercise to prepare your body for a workout. Static-stretch (holding for 20-30 seconds) is generally used *post exercise* to lengthen and decrease tension in muscles that have been thoroughly activated.
