This nutrient packed energizing smoothie is a perfect way to start your day, but can also make for a sweet, post-workout recovery meal. One serving yields 483 calories, 20 grams of fat, 65 grams of carbs, 16 grams of protein.

Blueberry Avocado and Spinach Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup blueberries, frozen or fresh

  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves

  • 1 cup almond-coconut milk (or milk of your choice)

  • 1/2 ripe avocado, skinned and pitted

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 scoop whey protein powder (chocolate or vanilla)(optional)

  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in blender and puree.

  2. Serve in glass.

  3. Add a few fresh blueberries (optional)
