WORKOUT WEDNESDAY💪🏽

What is a Medicine Ball? For those of you who haven’t been to a gym or accidentally kicked one thinking it was a soccer ball (ouch!), medicine balls are heavy weighted fitness tools. They come in a variety of sizes, weights, and consistencies. Some bounce, some are soft and squishy, some have handles, but they ALL have a diverse range of fitness applications and can be used to target/strengthen almost every part of your body. Medicine Balls are extensively used in various forms of physical therapy and sports specific training. They can be used to add variety to “traditional” strength training moves.

In today’s workout we use a medicine ball and set of dumbbells.

Perform each exercise 8-12 reps with 20-30 seconds in between for transition/recovery time. Repeat entire circuit 3-5 times… or until you can’t move!

  1. Inchworm with Push Up

  2. Reverse Lunge with Med Ball Press

  3. Deadlift with Bent over Dumbbell Row

  4. Medicine Ball Torso Twist
